Is Mathematics required for admission in BA Economics Honors?
Can I opt for BA Economics honors with 75% in 10+2 and I have scored 35% in Mathematics? What is the possibility of getting admission in top 20 colleges in India best know for Economics studies? Which are those 20 colleges in India well known for Economics?

The basic eligibility criterion for pursuing B.A. (Hons.) (Economics) degree is qualifying 10+2 or equivalent examination in any stream from a recognized board of the country. Some universities and colleges give preference to students who have studied Economics as a subject at 10+2 level.Maths is not compulsory.

For admission in Bachelor of Arts in Economics Honors course, mathematics is a compulsory subject. With 75% marks in 12th board examination and 35% marks in Mathematics, you can not expect to get admission in top 20 colleges.
In top colleges, the minimum percentage of marks required for admission in BA in Economics Honors is over 90% marks. |

Yes, it is mandatory to have Mathematics in 12th to get admission in the Economics honors.
The admission procedure varies with institutes and entrance examination is conducted every year to get admission in the course. In DU colleges admission is on the merit basis. So, you have to visit the official website to get detail information about admission. |
