Possibility of getting Lecturer post after completion of M.Tech?

My nephew finished his M.Tech with very good score, but he is unable to get Lecturer job. How to get Lecturer post after M.Tech? Does he need to study any other course? Should he start with PhD as well?

To become a lecturer your nephew need to give the UGC NET ( University Grant Commission National Eligibility Test). It is mandatory to qualify this exam, UGC-NET aims to ensure minimum standards of qualification required for the entrants in teaching professions.

I am giving you the website link of UGC NET from where you can apply for the test. The website link is www.ntanet.nic.in
