is math necessary necessary in commerce. please give reasons?

well basic mathematics is neecessary as you study acccounts as your one subject that obviously require mathematical skill so all you need is to focus on basic concepts,and rest its upto you how u take it.
there is certain requirements of the statistical mathematics whhich is required to you in the future ,,
if you take the mathematics you can choose the many career option this will provide you the scope in the your career .. so if you choose the mathematics..

No it is not compulsory to take maths in commerce stream. You can opt for secretarial practice instead. But this option is not available in all institutes. So, if you are not comfortable in the maths subject then you must check whether the college you plan to join offers the same. You can also check the university website on the list of institutes offering this specialization under it.
