Re: Which MBA stream is best from job and reputation point of views?
You haven't mentioned your branch of engineering.
Which MBA specialization will be better for you is directly proportional to branch of engineering you belongs to. However, I will arrange the three specializations mentioned by you in following manner:- 1) HRD: Generally opted by non-engineering or non-science candidates. Previously it was only meant for taking care of company employees. But now in this competetive world HRD plays a vital role in managing the whole human power of the company. 2) Telecom Management: with the rapid growth of telecom sector and implementation of open trade policy more more foreign telecom sectors are investing in Indian Telecom sector demand for managerial skilled persons has increased and will keep increasing. No doubt MBA with specialization in 'Telecom Management' well suited for Electronics & Communication or Electronics &Telecommunication engineers. Infact top notch jobs are grab by them. 3) International Business: I dont think it best suits for Engineer if he/she wants to remain in engineering domain, because it involves functions, works like- MArketing, supply chain management, accounting acting like HRD etc. |

Re: Which MBA stream is best from job and reputation point of views?
hello friend...
I will suggest Human Resource Management... cause my brother finished his B.E(Computer Science) and M.B.A(H.R)... right now he is working in a logistics company without any pain and tension where in we have it in the other stream... cause the role of H.R itself is to be cool....... so my choice for you is Human Resource Management.... but at the end of day its you have to choose your career based on your interest... so do keep that in mind........ ALL THE BEST.... |

Re: Which MBA stream is best from job and reputation point of views?
The stream of specialisation needs can be decided only by you. It should help you in reaching the desired job profile. Since you are from the engineering background and if you would like do a specialisation in this area then you can choose telecom. But if you are would like to change then you can select any of the other areas. Normally specialisations are in second year of the course. In the first year you will be given a foundation in all areas. So you can probably decide after getting a basic idea on each of the areas.

Re: Which MBA stream is best from job and reputation point of views?
Dear friend,
according to me Telecom management is the best field for doing MBA because there are a number of telecom companies today and the number is increasing day by day. This field is also related somehow to engg. specially ECE and IT. So it will be more relevant for any engineer to opt this field. By doing MBA in this field you will be able to get both technical and non technical jobs. And the package is also the highest. |
