Dear friend
The eligibility criteria for different posts use to be different but graduation degree is the sufficient qualification to be eligible for most of the common recruitment process.
The top official posts (senior superintendents) are recruited through UPSC examination.
Directed recruitment process is done for Constables and customs preventive officers and central excise inspectors/ constables posts.
Post of tax assistant or deputy officer superintendent is given when an upper division clerk is promoted which is recruited through all india level examination.

The minimum eligibility criteria are graduation from a recognised university and you have to pass an exam conducted by the Staff Selection Commission. There are many departments in the customs. For complete details you can refer the following sites

Your daughter can do M.Sc.in genetics after completing her B.Sc. After that she can go for a phd. There are lots of job opportunities in colleges, like Academic institutions, pharmaceutical companies, Biotech industries etc.

The percentage of marks of 10+2 will not be a factor for higher study. BSc. marks will be important for pursuing higher studies.

Qualifications requirement to sit for Custom Inspector exam is given below

1.minimum qualification graduation in any subject, with 55% marks in graduation.

2.60% marks 10th & 12th.

age limit is 21-29 year.

for custom officer you need to you must be a graduate through government recognized institute.

also you must get through competitive exam, like UPSC,MPSC at the time of examination your age must less than 28, there is relaxation for SC ST ,PD candidates for detail visit official site of upsc .
