One needs to have minimum 50% marks to be eligible for the GATE exam.
through the GATE score one can get admission in M.Tech courses throughout India. you can also go for a job in PSU through GATE score. some of the PSU's that recruit through the GATE score are- Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd.(BHEL) Bhartiya Sanchar Nigam Ltd(BSNL) National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd(NTPC Ltd.) Eligibility for GATE 2013-14 examination
GATE is the entrance exam conducted for joining in the M.Tech in IIT's and other top colleges all over INDIA The following categories of candidates are eligible to appear for GATE 2013-14:

GATE exam conducted for entrance into M.Tech in top universities of India.
following is the eligibility criteria of GATE: B.Tech in engineering, arch and technology students who completed are eligible and the students pursuing final year are also eligible for GATE entrance. 10+2 B.Tech with post diploma M.Tech graduates in science, maths, stats and computer applications are eligible. no age limit every entrance requires 50% aggregate for appearing. |
