Minimum score in 12th Science subjects and NEET to get MBBS seat in government medical colleges?

Hi, will I be eligible to do MBBS? I have scored 47% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (40, 41 and 60). I have already registered for the NEET exam to be held on 26th of July. I belong to open caste category.

Hi,
The Minimum Qualifying Marks as per NEET 2020 Eligibility criteria is to get aggregate of 50% in PCB for general and 45 % for general pwd and should also have studied english as a main subject.
NEET qualifying marks range from 701-134 i.e cutoff percentile 50th in order to qualify for mbbs you need to fulfill the above criteria.
So as per above criteria you won't be eligible as your aggregate score in pcb is is 47%.

Student must have secured minimum of 50% marks in PCB group(physics, chemistry, biology)for open caste candidate 45% for general PH and 40% for OBC/ST/SC.
As you are belong to open caste category and you scored below 50% in PCB group, you are not eligible to do MBBS.

NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test and the minimum education required for appearing in the same examination is a Class 12th in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as main subjects with atleast 50% marks in aggregate in PCB group subjects from a recognised board of education. Further, marks relaxation of 10% is allowed for unreserved category candidates.

So, having secured just 47% marks in aggregate in PCB group subjects and belonging to open category, you are not eligible for appearing in the NEET.

For more details and FAQs regarding the NEET, you can refer to the link www.ntaneet.nic.in.
