At least first class Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology in Following Branches:

• Electronics & Communication Engineering

• Mechanical Engineering

• Computer Science & Engineering

• Chemical Engineering

• Electrical Engineering

• Instrumentation Engineering

• Metallurgical Engineering.

• First class Master’s Degree in Science in Chemistry/Physics from a recognized
University in respective/relevant discipline.

Age Limit :

The upper age limit is 28 years (as on 31st May 2010). It is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/HH/OH candidates in respect of vacancies reserved for them as per rules in vogue. Age is also relaxable for Armed Forces Personnel as per rules in vogue.

Nationality :

Only Indian nationals need apply.

DRDO stands for Defence Research and Development Organisation :

This is work under the department of defense research and development of ministry of defense and this is mainly design & development leading to production of world class weapon systems.

And this is work in various areas of military technology such as aeronautics, armaments, combat vehicles, electronics, instrumentation engineering systems, missiles, etc;.

So,if you want join in this organization,then you need to write the SET entrance exam conducted by the DRDO for various posts like engineer and scientist Post.

For attending this test,required educational qualifications are you must completed the graduation with minimum 60% of marks from recognized university.

And minimum age should be 21 years and maximum should be 30 years and here age relaxation is available as per govt rules for reserved category candidates.

Selection Procedure :

For these posts the selection procedure is based on the performance in the SET entrance exam and this exam consists of objective type questions completed with in 3 hours.

Here you have total 100 technical questions, 25 questions on GK and current affairs, and 25 questions on aptitude and CLICK HERE for syllabus of various streams.

After qualifying the entrance test called for an interview and this is conducted by the around 5-6 members and questions on technical subjects.

To give this exam you need to have a B.Tech degree in any one of the following branch:

Mechanical Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Electronics and Communication Engineering
Computer Science Engineering
Chemical Engineering

You need to have minimum 60% in aggregate or a CGPA of 6.75 otherwise you will not be eligible to give this exam.

The upper age limit for this exam is 28 years.
There is age relaxation of upto 5 years for the SC/ST and Physically handicapped students.
It is upto 3 years for the OBC candidates.
