Dear Sir/Madam,

I have completed my Bsc in Microbiology (75%) from Nepal. I want to pursue my further education in Pune University.
Please suggest the procedure to get admission in Pune University. I am a Nepali Citizen. What are the criterias to be fulfilled?
What is the last date to get entrance form and submission?
Date for Entrance.?
Fee Structure, etc.

Department of microbiology of Pune University conducts the written M.Sc. entrance examination in the month of June every year and gives the admission to twenty from the number of applicants as large as 600 to 900 (which is still increasing day by day). On the average three international students take admission to the M.Sc (which is still increasing day by day). Course at the department every year. Online application for the entrance examination begins in the month of April / May.

Eligibility:

B.Sc. Microbiology with at least 55% aggregate including all semester.

Pattern of M.Sc. Entrance Examination:

Number of Questions:- 50
Marks per question:- two.
Total Marks:- 100.
Passing criteria:- N/A
Negative Marking:- 1 marks will be deducted for each wrong answered questions

Admission Rules in brief :
In case of B.Sc. from Pune University, the final merit list is based on a total merit comprising 50% marks from the entrance test and the rest 50% from the B.Sc. Principal Subject marks.
For candidates other than Pune University, admission would be based only on the result of entrance examination.

Whole process including entrance, admissions etc are same for Foreign/NRI students, except fees.

Entrance exam for Admission to M.sc (Microbiology) will be held after the declearation of B.sc results of Pune University.

Complete notification along with precedure and instructions will be provided in Daily News papers and all will be updated on University's website- http://www.unipune.ac.in/dept/scienc...gy/default.htm

Results for B.sc are likely to be announced in June (last) or July (first).The schedule of the declaration of the results of B.Sc. can be enquired out from the examination department of the University (Tel No. 020 565 0060, 5656061 Ext. 2031 / 2050). Application forms are made available from publication section (Tel. No. 020 565 0060, 5656061 Ext. 2134) of the university usually after declaration of the B.Sc. results.

Firstly, you should contact with pune university for the formalities to join there as you are non residential. It has a likely similar pattern than others entrance. There are fifty question,two marks for each question and total hundred marks. You should try your best,be prepared.
