It is impossible to crack it that way ie just from a single guide.
You are going to appear one of the toughest examination in India and you are thinking about guides. After all there is a difference between 10th board and Indian Engineering Services examination
It's not that tough to complete the syllabus from books. You could be taking it tough because you could not have started yet rightly.
If you first read the syllabus well and make your own notes then you will find it easier.
I expect you to an engg graduate and I also expect you to understand those topics you already have studied during your B.tech.
