The National Talent Search Examination, conducted by National Council for Education and Research Training, is only for Class 8 Students.
Those in the ninth standard are not eligible to write the National Talent Search Examination, as per the NCERT Guidelines.

I missed NTSC in class 8th but I am interested to make career in NASA. What I do?

Is the NTSE examination is going to be conducted for class 9th or 10th students rather than for class 8th students ?

Well, I have heard that NTSE will be conducted for Class IXth and Xth also. I have searched all over the net but could not find a form for IX but have found for Xth. This info was provided in my school. Will somone please inform me where can I find class IXth form? Or at least will it be conducted for us or not.

Dear,

National talent search exam is a national level scholarship test for only Indian students. In this exam student's intellectual ability is tested and they are awarded scholarships accordingly. Is is officially conducted by NCERT.

In this candidates are required to two types of objective type questions:

1. Mental ability test(MAT)
2. Scholastic aptitude test(SAT)

MAT consists of 100 multiple choice type questions
SAT consists of 25 multiple choice type questions each on eight subject areas:

1. Mathematics
2. Physics
3. Chemistry
4. Biology
5. History
6. Geography
7. Civics and
8. Economics.

The candidates could choose any four out of these eight subjects.

Students of 10th class only can appear for this exam. So you have whole year to prepare for this and if you are serious for it start preparing for it from now as in 10th there will be pressure of boards too.
