what is the syllabus of class XI for National Talent Search Exams which will be held on 30 january 2011?

There is no particular syllabus for the NTSE exam It is one of the toughest and most prominent state level test conducted by the NCERT. The question pattern includes a Mental Ability Test (MAT) and a Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). You need to be well-versed in the lower class subjects. The questions will be on Social Studies, Science and Mathematics subjects.

To prepare for the National Talent Search Exam which is conducted by the NCERT you have to go through the syllabus of your class and from class XII . As through my personal experience I have found most of the questions for calss XI student in this exam will be from there syllabus.

It will be sufficient if you read the following books for this exam.
For Physics Pradeep or ABC
For Chemistry Pradeep or ABC
For Maths R.D Sharma

So don't confuse much about syllabus and go through these books you will cover 90% topics through these books easily.

when is ntse exam for 11th class this year??

there is NTSE for class 8th only. earlier it is for 10th std. also but now it is only for 8th std.

one can give this paper only once in one's life and only in 8th std.

I think NTSE is only for 8th class but how r u talking about it in xi clas, it is not organized in 11th.

It is better to understand each and every concepts of NCERT text correctly and completely in a vast manner

It is better to workout old ntse questions to get an idea of the exam
