Hi, I have just completed my 10th Board exams and I want to become a Software Engineer. So, shall I opt for PCM subject combination in 11th in 12th?

To become a software engineer, you are certainly required to opt for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as your main subject for your higher secondary school degree i.e; Class 12th.

Further, after completion of your Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as main subjects, you are required to pursue degree in engineering i.e; B.E./B.Tech in computer science or Information technology discipline to become a software engineer.

After completion of 12th class then you can apply for joint entrance examination. The admission of candidate in software engineering will be done on the basis of entrance examination. Now you can apply four year Bachelor of Technology in software engineering course.

For pursuing B.Tech/B.E. in Software Engineering, you should have studied PCM subjects in 11th and 12th standard. Without PCM subjects, you will not be able to apply for engineering entrance exams like JEE Main, JEE Advanced, BITSAT, etc.
