I dont think that you are eligible for MA in History because for this course you need BA degree and history as honours subjects.
So, acording to me it is not possible for you.
Any way I ahve attached one pdf file which contains prospectus of delhi university.

But why you are diverting your technical line to a general study course, I can't get it!

After B.Tech there are so many options for higher studies and available job opportunities.

If you are really in need of pursuing M.A in History ,you should complete it from an open university.
In parallel with this, carry on your technical higher studies or it will be better to further look for jobs in technical fields.

Rare Yes. You can do MA in history after BTech. But not sure, All universities will accept this. Do check out for the universities which recognises BTech for MA.

But you have to check the universities for this and have to register there.

it is definitely possible to do MA after any other stream for Bachelors.. almost all universities allow that.. but i dont understand why this drastic shift from engineering to arts...???

i think..you can not study M.A.(history)..you must study bachelors in the stream..then you can be allowed the p.g. course in the same stream..but..how the thought came to you to shift engineering to M.A.come yaar,do not lok back ....B.Tech..it's is very valuable cousre.though it seems to be common these days..

i think you can not go for m.a in history after doing your b.tech because both of them are different field and for this you need to have a graduation in history

Well your question is very puzzling, however, the answer to it is a 'YES' but it will be difficult for you to look for colleges offering the same.
After Btech you have plenty of career opportunities, then why do you want to do such a thing.
It would be advisable that you stay in the technical line only.

Don't go 4 M.A. in history

Of course you can study MA after after B Tech.I, myself, am planning to do it.But you have to go for open universities like IGNOU .You can sit for the NET exam after the MA course.But i do not know whether the individual universities will accept you as alecturer

B. Tech is Technical Degree & Graduate level course and M.A. History is Non-Technical Post graduation Course.

Yes, It is possible, you can do M.A. History after B. Tech but according to my opinion you should do MBA or M. Tech because it Technical Course.

After M.A. History you don't get any benifit / oppurtunities in your life but after MBA or M. Tech you can get better oppurtunities & get better job and handsome salary.

See its not possible as such, because to get into MA history you need to have B.A with any subject but history is compulsory,

i would like to suggest you that you should opt for good companies, today's era is of
IT companies with lots of money. Don't try to divert your mind as it seems totally absurd.

THOUGH M A HISTORY WOULD NOT SUIT a btech student as it is entirely different field still if u have keen interest
u can surely pursue it as admisioons in MA courses are liberal and most colleges and university asks for a graduation in any field.
so u can do MA history from sikkim manipal university
sam hingibottom inst of agr tech and sciences
most of open university
state level universities
but not from renowned ones which asks for a BA IN HISTORY.
