sir, whether is there any possibility of get admission in 5th sem of B.TECH. in JELET 2016, because our syllabus has changed..??

JELET is lateral Entry exam conducted by West Bengal Technical board. Through this exam candidates get admission directly in second year of engineering.

So, you can not get direct admission in fifth semester, you will get admission in third semester of bachelor's degree in technology. Syllabus has nothing to do with this.

JELET will allow admission only in 3rd semester. There is no special provision for admission in 5th semester through JELET 2016. A diploma holder can only get admission in second year only through this exam and there is no chance of direct admission in third year.

JELET stands for Joint Entrance Exam for Lateral Entry and it conducted for admission of candidates in 2nd year of b.tech courses( 3rd semester).

The examination is conducted in month of July every year and application form are available from June.

JELET is the lateral Entry test for getting admission in engineering colleges in West Bengal. Diploma holders are eligible to apply for this exam.

On the basis of marks and rank in this exam, diploma candidates get admission directly in third semester of bachelor's degree in engineering. You can not get direct admission in fifth semester of B.Tech through JELET.

Notification for this exam is out in May every year.
