Dear friend

IES stands for the Indian Engineering services .This exam is conducted every year for the engineering aspirants who wants to join the different departments like :

For this exam , interested candidate should have done his bachelor's degree in engineering or technology in any trade of his choice .But candidates having branches other civil ,mechanical, electrical ,civil and electronics have to select subjects from these branches only for their conventional papers.

During you final year of engineering ,you can also apply for the exam.

The age limit for the IES exam is :

>>General category :21-30 years

>>OBC :21-33 years

>>SC/ST:21-35 years

The no of attempts for this exam is also category dependent that is general candidates have only four chances ,whereas obc have seven attempts and sc/st has no restriction on giving exams till their age limit.
