VAO Exam Eligibility Criteria:-

• To apply for the vacant seats you need to have the secondary school leaving certificate or its equivalent.
  
• Even if you have higher qualification it is still important for you to have the SSLC certificate otherwise you will not be considered eligible for this examination.
  
• The minimum age limit for this examination is 21 years and the upper age limit is 30. For the reserved category the upper age limit is 40.
  
• To give this examination you need to be physically fit and therefore they will ask you to produce before them one physical fitness certificate as well.
  
• Proficiency in Tamil language is another important criteria which needs to be satisfied as well.

Exam Pattern:-

• For this examination questions will come from the following sections: General Knowledge and General English/Tamil.
  
• The general knowledge questions can be answered either in english or tamil.
  
• Questions that comes for this examination are generally descriptive type and have to be written within 20 words.
  
• Each section of the paper consists of 150 marks, so the total marks alloted is 300 and the duration of the paper is 3 hours.
  
• To qualify to the next stage you need to qualify in the written examination on which the selection process is solely depended. The minimum marks to qualify is ninety.

Salary: At the initial stages you can expect a salary somewhere between 5,200 to 20000.
