Tamil Nadu government conducts an exam to recruit VAO officers. This exam is therefore known as the VAO exam. VAO stands for Village Administrative Officer.

This year's vacancies district wise have been listed below:



Last date to apply online for this exam is 10th of august 2012 and the last date to pay the fees is 14th of august 2012.

The exam is scheduled to start from 30th of september from 11am to 1pm.

If you have a SSLC certificate or its equivalent then you can apply for this exam.

Age limit: For general category it is 21-30. The upper age limit is 40 for the reserved categories.

The written exam is of primary importance since the selection procedure is based on that. You have to get minimum 90 marks to qualify. Along with general knowledge questions, questions will come from general english and tamil.
