CLAT Exam Details

For CLAT LLB
To be eligible for CLAT you must be Intermediate pass or it's equivalent from recognized board more than 50% in aggregate. It has been relaxed to 45% for SC/ST/PD.

Even those students or applicants going to appear for equivalent or final exams are also eligible for it.

Age limits for program is 20 years and it has been increased to 22 years.

For CLAT LLM: You must have a degree in LLB/BA with minimum of 55% marks and it has been relaxed to 50% for SC/ST/PD students. You have to proof your age and educational qualification at the time of couselling or admisison.

CLAT Exam Eligibility Criteria:-

~CLAT stands for Common Law Admission Test. 14 National Law Universities participates in this examination and by following a rotation policy one of them every year conducts this examination.

~Every year during the month of January the notification releases and normally in May the exam is conducted.

~To sit for this exam you need to get minimum 50% of marks in aggregate at 10+2 level.

~For reserved category candidates there is percentage relaxation. They need to secure 45% of marks in aggregate.

~Final year students about to sit for the board exam or awaiting the result of the final year exam can also sit for this exam.

~The upper age limit for general category candidates is 20 years. For reserved category candidates it is 22 years.

~Total 200 questions will be there of 200 marks. For each paper 40 marks each have been allotted. The full paper needs to be completed in two hours.

~Stress on the following areas:- English Including Comprehension, General Knowledge/Current Affairs, Elementary Mathematics, Logical Reasoning and Legal Aptitude.
