I am proceeding on leave on the day of election. So, is it possible to cancel my election duty for that day? If yes, then what is the application procedure? What I need to mention in my application letter?

There is very strict guidelines regarding the election duty and action are taken against those who do not obey the guidelines or are not present on the duty.

If you have any valid reason for not being present in duty you can mention the same in the application and share it to Returning officer. If your application is accepted then only your leave will be accepted else against should be taken against you if you are absent to your duty.
