what is the procedure to fill up ies exam form. i need to register first or anything else. could u tell me the whole procedure for the exam form.

You can apply for this exam both offline as well as online.
The UPSC application form for IES exam consists of the application form along with an Information Brochure containing general instructions for filling up the form, an acknowledgement card and an envelope for sending the application.

and a separate blog post would be made as and when the online form becomes available.

you can apply for IES offline or online.For offline application get the form from post office and send it to UPSC.

For online application go to the site https://www.upsconline.nic.in/mainmenu2.php

there are two parts of registration and the links are given there fill in registration form part 1 first by filling in the required details like your name address etc. after this you will get a registration number,note the number.

After this go to the second part fill in the registration number received in part 1 and your date of birth.Follow the instructions.And your form is filled.

firstly to apply for ies exam you should be above 21 years of age and also should be in the final year of engineering or already have completed engineering,
to apply for ies examination you can do it online by logging in to www.upsconline.gov.in
you should have an soft copy of photograph and signature both not exceeding 40 kb in size,
also you will need an credit/debit card to make the payment

An advertisement is published in "Employment News" and other major news papers.
Examination forms are available in major G.P.O.s.
Following are the dates for this years examination:
Date of Notification: 08.01.2011
Last Date for Receipt of Applications: 07.02.2011
Date of Commencement of Exam: 14.05.2011

The eligibility criteria for the exam is:
1. A Graduate in Engineering from Recognised University or College, A Final Year Student is also eligible for the exam.
2. Age Limit is 21 years to 30 years.
3. A Citizen of India or of Indian Nationality.
You have to send application form to the commission for appearing in the IES exam. The application form is available for Rs 20 at the GPO.
The examination date for IES 2011 is 14-5-2011 and last date for submission of application form is 7-2-2011.

Before i say one word, i want to tell you Go and fill up the form because time is running out.

Well

• If you opt to apply Online you can do it only by using the website http://www.upsconline.nic.in.
  
• Detailed instructions for filling up online applications are made available on the above mentioned website.
  
• Even if you cant access net then you can apply through offline mode also by using the common Application Form being used for examinations conducted by the Commission. This form can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/ Post Offices throughout the country against cash payment of Rs. 20/- (Rupees twenty only).

Note:- Each such Form can be used only once and only for one examination.

(A) Online Forms :-The Online Applicatios can be filled upto 7th February, 2011 till 11.59 PM after which the link will be disabled.
(B) Offline (From candidates residing in specified remote areas only) All Offline Application must reach the "Controller of Examinations,

The IES form can be obtained from the designated branch of post office .you just need to fill the form and send it to the required address according to the guideline of upsc.

the whole procedure are made available in the notification published by upsc for IES exam in the official website of upsc that is http://www.upsc.gov.in

but for this first of all check the eligibility criteria for applying in IES .

During online registration for IES, on Page 5, there is an option "Print Bank Pay-in-Slip". You can take print out of this bank challan and pay the fee in cash at SBI [Sate Bank of India] branches. You will be given a Transaction ID which you need to enter during subsequent part of registration.

you can apply for the ies exam both online as well as offline. the notification of the exam will come in the employment news regarding when and where the forms will be available. the form will contain information brochure by which you will know how to fill the form.you only have to fill the form and send it to the required address and after some time, your admit card will come. this is the only procedure for the exam. for more details regarding the exam, you can visit

hi ! I face a problem during fillup the first stage application form of ies 2013. After filling the form When i enter "i egree" button it shows "application is not complete due to district name either left blank or invalid". I checked it so many time. I am from "north 24 pargana" of w.b. Plese help me how can i overcome this problem.
