I am a girl.
I was pass 10 and 12 with good marks. Can u tell me the procedure and way to enter indian army wheter i have to do some preparations?

After your 12 class you can join army in various ways

1. You can opt for afmc mbbs entrance exam

its notification is given in the month of january

exam will be on may first week.


2. you can go for military nursing

its notification will be on november

exam will be on february

3. you can also write afmc nursing entrance on the month of march

4. if you are selecting engineering as your career you can attend for the CDS exam on your final year.

The only way a candidate can join the army after 12th is by clearing the NDA entrance exam. But females are not allowed to apply for the same. The minimum qualification required for females is graduation. You can specialise in any stream you like. But the course you pursue should be from a recognised institute. You can join the army through the SSC scheme.

yes, you are eligible for indian army . the eligibility criteria is given below.

1)Your age has already reached 20 years and the eligibility criteria says that you need to be between 16.5 - 19 years.

2) The minimum educational qualification required for the Indian Army is 10+2 pass candidates with physics , chemistry , maths with a minimum of 55-60 % marks.

Apply in response to advertisement in March/April & Oct./Nov.

Age at the time of joining must be 161/2-19 years

Commencement of Course each year start from January and July...

Mode of selection

• and SSB interview

But for NDA Only boys are eligible not girls....but you can join army after graduation.... not now....

you can go for Indian Army graduation.

UPSC conducts CDS entrance exam by which you can enter into Indian Army.For CDS exam graduation is must.without graduation you can't write for CDS exam.

Educational qualification-

Graduation from any recognised university.you can also apply in final year of your of graduation for CDS exam.

Age limit-your age sgould be between 21-30 year at the time of exam.

Another exam for Indian Army is NDA but girls are not eligible for NDA exam.Only Unmarried Male student can apply for NDA exam.

i think girls are not eligable to apply in nda exam after class12th hence it's not possible i think. but now a days girls are being taken for short service commision that is u can serve the defense for a period of 15 yrs, but that is through the ekt exam that u can give after graduation.

yes you can apply for Indian army but after graduation because after 12th there is a way to join Indian Army is NDA examination, but NDA is for Only boys not for girls.

you can not join Indian army after +2 as there is no such entry schemes for girls to join army after +2.
N.D.A. MEANS NATIONAL DEFENSE ACADEMY.
N.D.A. exam is conducted by U.P.S.C.
This exam is only for unmarried male candidates.

As you are a female candidate , first complete your graduation then apply for C.D.S. exam.

After 12th one can apply for Indian Army through NDA.

NDA- NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY exam conducted by UPSC twice every year for entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian Male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years.

But you being a Girl candidate is not eligible to apply for NDA as it is only meant for male candidate.

Girl candidate is eligible to apply for Indian Army through CDS(Combined Defence Service) exam after Graduation within the age of 19 to 25 years of age.

The selection is through written exam followed by SSB interview along with Medical and Physical Fitness test.
