I am air force person, I am 36 years old. I want to be a IPS/ IAS officer. I completed 14 years of service. Please tell me what is the procedure for it?

IAS/IPS is a prestigious government job/service.

So, the procedure to apply for this post is the same for all individuals whether it is a fresher or an ex-employee of any organization.

Since, your age is now 36 years old so you cannot apply for IAS/IPS Exam (officially called as Civil Services Exam).

Actually, the age criteria defined for applying Civil Services Exam is:

Age Criteria:
For General: 21 to 30 years
For OBC: 21 to 33 years
For SC/ST: 21 to 35 years

Sir I have selected in Indian Airforce as airman. I am in second year of my graduation, but I want to be an Ias officer, but I cannot leave this job due to some personal reasons ..can I prepare for IAS exam being an airman in air force... please reply

YES, You can prepare for the IAS exams.

To appear in the IAS exams you have to apply for the UPSC civil services exams.
This exams is conducted for selection of posts like IAS, IPS, IFS etc

This exam is conducted in three stages:
Prelims
Mains
Interviews


Educational Qualifications to appear in this exams:Graduation pass in any stream from an recognised University

Age Limit:Minimum 21 years for all candidates
Maximum age is 32 years for General category candidates
3 years age relation for OBC candidates
5 years for SC/ST candidates

Number of attempts:
6 attempts for general candidates
9 attempts for OBC candidates
No restriction for SC/ST candidates

WHICH syllabus is best either Central or State syllabus for NDA and futher exams to join in Airforce????? I had completed my CBSE 10th Board exam and waiting for results so which syllabus I should choose????
