AFCAT stands for Air Force Common Admission Test and the Notification of This examination was already Published and If you are Interested to Join Indian Air Force As a Technical Branch then please apply for AFCAT Examination.

To apply for Technical Branch You have to complete your Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics) and Aeronautical Engineering (Mechanical) From a recognised University.

You have to scored minimum 60% marks in your Engineering course from a recognised University.

You age should between 18 to 28 years as on 1 January 2013

Physical Standard:

Height (Men) – 157.5 cms,
For Women – 152 cms with correlated weight

To join Indian Air Force Technical branch you have to appear for the AFCAT(Air Force Common Admission Test) exam, the notification for which has already been announced.

For AFCAT you must be a graduate engineer in Aeronautical Engineering(Electronics/Mechanical) with a minimum 60% marks within the age group of 18 to 28 years of age by 1st January.

The AFCAT exam will be held on 26.02.2012, the last date for applying for AFCAT is 13.01.2012. For further information you may log on to www.careerairforce.nic.in

If you are from B-TECH degree holder then you are eligible for technical department in Air Force through AFCAT exam. Details of this exam is given below.


ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR AFCAT EXAM


Ground Duty Branches –
20-27 years of age.
PG or Bachelor degree in any subject with at least 60% aggregate marks.

Flying Branch –
minimum of 19 years of age and maximum of 23 years.

The candidate must have the B.E / B.Tech degree or a Graduate in any discipline with minimum 60% aggregate marks.

Technical Branch –
18-28 years of age
Aeronautical Engineering with minimum 60% marks.
