hello my dear,
Minimum Educational Qualifications: The candidate must hold a degree of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University Under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification Age limit: 21 years must be completed on 1st August of the year, which a candidate is appearing. Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs. Ex-servicemen will get 5 more years exemption from the prescribed age limit no. of attempts normally 4 in case of OBC 7 times. good luck. |

(A) Tentative Schedule
(i) Notification of Examination November/December of previous year (ii) Conduct of Examination May (B) Age - limits: 21-30 years as on 1st August of the year of Examination. Certain categories of persons as specified in the Commission's Notice as published in Employment News/Rozgar Samachar are eligible for age relaxation. (C) Educational Qualification Degree of a Recognised University or equivalent. Candidates appearing in the requisite Degree qualification are also eligible for appearing in the examination, however, they are supposed to submit proof of passing the requisite qualification along with with Detailed Application Form for Civil Services (Main) Examination. |

The eligibility criteria for UPSC Civil Services Examination is Graduation degree
in any stream from a recognized university. Those who are in final year of graduation and expecting their results till August of this year, also can apply for the exam. The age limitation for the exam is; 21-30 years for GENERAL category candidates 21-33 years for OBC category students and 21-35 years for SC/ST/PD category candidates. GEN category candidates can attempt the exam 4 times and OBC category candidates can attempt the exam 7 times. For SC/ST/PD category candidates there is no restriction as per number of attempts. The notification for the exam in available on UPSC official website http://www.upsc.gov.in/. The last date to apply for the exam is 21st March, 2011. Educational Qualifications : A candidate must hold a Degree in Engineering or equivalent. By UPSC prelims exam looks like you are referring to the Civil Service exam. Yes graduates in any stream are allowed to appear for the exam. Also it is no longer called the Preliminary exam. It is now known as the CSAT exam. Visit the UPSC site to know about the details in the change in format.

In order to appear in the UPSC exam you need to complete your graduation from any of tyhe recognized institute or university of India.Also you must be 21-30 years old.Important Dates regarding the upsc exam are listed below:

Eligibility :
Age limits : 21 - 30 yrs. The candidate must possess a graduate degree from any recognized university. And Those in the final year of degree course can also eligible for UPSC exams. He/She should be 21years to 30 yrs of age at the time of appearing in the UPSC held Civil Services Examination.and there is exemption of 3 years of OBC and 5 years for SC/ST... and even a student in final year student can also apply... UPSc has changed as the Prime Minister has approved the proposal for introduction of Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) in place of the existing Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination. The CSAT is expected to come into effect from Civil Services Examination, 2011. It consits of two paper and each paper of Two hrs.. (Paper 1) (200 marks) consists of Current events. History Geography Indian Polity and governance Economic and social development and General science. The minimum eligibility for UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) examination is graduation in any stream from a regonised institute / university. Age Limit = 21 Years to 30 Years for general candidates, 21 Years to 33 Years for OBC candidates and 21 Years to 35 Years for SC / ST candidates. Nationality = Indian Good Luck |

If You Are Graduate In Any Decipline From A Recognised University, Then You Are Eligible To Apply fro UPSC Exams. The Minimum Eligiblity Is Required To Be Graduate In Any Stream. Age Eligiblity - You Must have Attained the Age of 21 Years and Must Not Have Attained the Age of 30 Years Only then You Can Apply for UPSC Exams. UPSC conducted many exams and for all exams the eligibility is differ from your application form.
Some exam of UPSC after intermediate i.e. NDA. But more of the exams eligibility is Graduation degree. for more information regarding UPSC you can go to the website; www.upsc.gov.in |

Educational Qualification required to apply for UPSC exam is a graduate in any stream under a recognized university.
But in exams like IES, only engineering graduates are applicable... students pursuing their final year can also apply provided that they can show their proof of passing by the end of August. The age limit is that you should have crossed 21 years of age... again General candidates should not cross their 30 years, OBC candidate should not cross their 33 years and SC/ST/PD candidates should not crossed their 35 years of age.... The minimum educational qualification required is to be a graduate in any field. Age limitation is between 21-30 years for the General , 21-35 years for the SC/ST , 21-33 years for the OBC. You need to first clear the CSAT before appearing for the mains. In case of no. of attempts , 4 for the general , 7 for the OBC , unlimited for the SC/ST are there. More details:- www.upsc.gov.in. UPSC exam is the exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission of India. By clearing in this exam you can become an IAS officer or IPS officer or even you can join in defense services of India.
To appear in this exam your age must be above 21years and below 30years. Your educational qualification must be a all cleared graduation. Generally you can attempt in this exam for 7 times. This exam takes place twice in a year. There are also age relaxations for peoples belonging to OBC category(3 years), ST/SC category(5 years). Attempt relaxations are also there depends on the caste category. |

UPSC conducted various types of exams like- Defense service exams, Civil service exams.. Eligibility for CDS exam:- For I.M.A:- 1.Candidate has to complete the graduation in any trade. 2.Final year candidate can also apply for exam.. For Indian Air force academy:- 1.Candidate has to complete the graduation in any trade but must have had physics and maths in 12th class. For Navy academy:- 1.candidate must have complete the graduation in engineering field. Age limit:- 1.For I.M.A:- AGe should be in between 19-24 years. 2.For I.A.F:- Age should be in between 19-23 years. 3.For I.N.A:- Age should be in between 19-22 years. Eligibility criteria for Civil service exams:- 1.Candidate has to complete the graduation in any trade. 2.Final year candidates can also apply for the exams.. 3.Age should be in between 21-30 years. For SC/ST the upper age relaxation is 5 years and for OBC the upper age relaxation is 3 years. 4.candidate should be a citizen of India. These are the eligibility criteria you have to fulfill.
