Qualifications required for Indian Police Services?

You have to complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline from a recognized University, Only then you are eligible to apply for UPSC Civil services examination to become IPS Officer.

You have to attained the age of 21 years and not have attained the age of 30 years, Means your age should between 21 to 30 years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC candidates.

There is no need to maintained the minimum percentage to apply for Civil services examination, Any graduate passed candidates may apply for this examination.

If you are Pursuing your Final year degree course then you are also apply for Civil Services examination.

IPS EXAM is conducted by UPSC every year. The qualificatiön required for being an ips officer are as follows.
1)YOU HAVE TO BE a GRADUATE in any discipline with 50% marks from recognized university.
2) There is an age limit for ips exam that is your age must be 21-30 years for general candidates and for sc/st it is upto 35 years .
3) There is also a limitatiön regarding number of attempts that is 4 attempts for general and for obc it is 7 , where as for sc/st there is no such limit.
Well the importance are also given to the physical fitness and alertness too, so keeping in mind ,the exam pattern are designed.
There is three stages that is prelims, mains and interview round that you have to qualify then only you will get a chance to become an ips officer. It is not so easy ,for becoming ips you have to work really very hard and determine regarding your aim. .
