Hi,

Since you're a sculptor, that shows that you do have great artistic ability. And yes, that can be helpful in being a Director, which is also requires you to see things differently than others do.
Having said that, getting admission directly is dicey. I think, you still may have to pass the minimum criteria and have to go through examination and other processes of the institute.
