Dear friend,

ONGC stands for Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited. It conducts its own recruitment drives every year for the selection of various candidates for various posts of graduate trainees(GT) in its different branches.

In order to appear in ONGC exam you should have completed B.Tech/B.E. degree in the following streams:-

a)- Mechanical Engineering
b)- Electrical Engineering
c)- Chemical Engineering
d)- Petroleum Engineering
e)- Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Your age should be in between 21 to 30 years.

Exam Pattern:-

1.General awareness-50 marks/50 questions
2.Specialization subject-100 marks/100 questions
3.Aptitude test-50 marks/50 questions

Total Time:3 hours
Total number of questions:200
Total Number of marks:200

Exam Syllabus:-

-- Paper I: General Knowledge (50 Marks)

There are 50 questions in this paper based on general knowledge from which you have to attempt only 40 questions. Each correct answer carries 1 mark. There are will be two descriptive type question also each question carrying on 5 marks for right answer.

-- Paper II: Specialization Subject (100 Marks)

Second paper will contains the questions from the topics of your specialization. Total number of questions in this section will be 100. In the second paper 1.5 marks defined for each objective type question right answer and 5 - 5 marks for 2 descriptive type questions answer. The time duration of the exam will be 3 hours.

The questions will be based on the subject of specialization in which you have completed Your Bachelor's degree.
