CID refers to Crime Investigation Department, the one which you may have seen on televisions in shows like "CID" etc. CID or Crime Branch, as it is referred in some parts of the country, is a special wing of police force. Mostly all states in India like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Orissa etc have CID of their own. Major cities like Delhi, Mumbai also have a Crime Investigation Department.
The job of CID is different from ordinary police force. It is usually given cases which requires high level of technical expertise. Complicated cases and even terror cases are sometimes given to the CID to crack. The exam to become CID officer in India is UPSC Indian Civil Service Exam. This examination has three levels: 1. IPS Cadre 2. State Public Service Commission 3. District Police Headquarters In order to appear in the UPSC Civil Service Examination, candidates are required to meet certain eligibility criteria. Nationality: Candidate should be Indian National. Age: The age limit for General category cadidates is 21 to 25 years. For SC/ST and OBC candidates, it is 21to 30 years. Education Criteria: All aspirants should have graduation degree in any course from recognized university in India. You should score at least 60 percent marks in graduation degree. If you are applying for post of constable in the CID, the required qualification is 10+2. |

CID Stands Criminal Investigation Department It is a crime detection agency under the govt of India & also some other fields i.e Finger Print Bureau Crime Investigation Bureau in Scientific Section Qualification : Candidates must be complete the Graduation from a recognized university min of age limit 21 years & max of age limit 27 years , age relaxation as per govt rules Selection Process : Preliminary Examination Main Examination Interview |

If you want become a CID officer then you must write and qualifying the Indian Civil Services exam conducted by Union Public Service Commisssion(UPSC). The UPSC is conducted the entrance exams in every year for various posts under civil services exams. For CID officer posts the required qualifications are: -->>you must completed the graduation from recognized university. -->>Required minimum age limit for these course is 21 years and maximum is 27 years and age relaxation is available as per UPSC govt. To be a CID constable you require only tenth standard qualification....Qualification will depend on the level you want to join. For constables it is 10 plus2,for SI it is graduation and also for officer it is graduation. For SI/officer level you have to qualify competitive examination.In case you qualify civil services examination and get entry in IPS you can get posting in CID.
In the appropriate field under the Central Government.AMAeSI is recognized by the Govt. of India as equivalent to BE degree in Aeronautical Engineering. Candidates with AMAeSI qualification are eligible to apply for any job in Aeronautics where BE is prescribed as the minimum eligibility qualification for the post. For CID Officer posts the required educational qualifications are you must completed the graduation with from recognized university. >>Selection Processor :- For this exam the selection processor is based on the written test and personal interview and some posts required to qualify the physical effective tests. Apart from first conducted the written test called for final section test i.e the personal interview and for written test question paper will be objective type. Hi dear............... The eligibility criteria for CID officer ...... Candidates who wish to join the Crime Investigation Department must appear in the Indian Civil Services examination that is held by the Union Public Service Commission. The detail information regarding the exam and its syllabus will be available in all leading publications. Who is eligible to apply? There are many posts available for candidates in the CID. Their level of entry is determined by their qualification. The minimum qualification required for a candidate to join as a constable in the CID is a pass in class 12. If one aspires to join as a Sub Inspector, he/she should have cleared graduation. Graduation is the requirement for officer level post as well. There are many universities in India that offers courses in criminology. The basic qualification for this course is a pass in class 10+2 with a milieu in arts or science. To appear in CID Examination than you should Qualified in Graduation Course in any discipline from recognized University (or) Institution .. To join CID you need to appear for CGPE exam i.e. Combined Graduate preliminary Exam which is conducted by SSC (Staff selection commission)board every year.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: Graduation in any discipline AGE LIMIT : 20 - 27 years Upper age relaxation will applicable SC/ST candidates for 5 years and OBC candidates for 3 . |
