After completing, you will have lots of opportunities either in terms of job market or higher studies. But since there is a very high competition in job market itself , you can get a job in core companies only if you have decent CGPA in Btech. YOU can apply in following PSUs like : ## BPCL ## HPCL ## SAIL ## GAIL ## ONGC ## NTPC These PSUs now a days recruit on the basis of GATE score (it is mandatory) and interview by themself. So, you should start preparing for GATE, if you want to get in PSU. Most of them have eligibility requirement of CGPA atleast 6 or above, it is 5.5 for reserved categories. Another option is IES, For IES , electrical, mechanical & civil engineering are eligible to apply. There is no minimum CGAP requirement for this. But because of competitiveness of exam, only high performers are able to clear. A totoal of approx 500 aspirants are selected finally who are then alloted departments like Railways , PWD, Water Board etc. Exam is conducted in May, consist of six papers, two objective, two subjective & other two on General awareness. After this, there will be interview. Age limit for this is 21 to 30 yrs . Relaxation are applicable to reserved categories. Next option you have is either Mtech/ MS, Many students are now a days going for higher studies as it also helps in getting better employment opportunities & working experience. For Mtech, you have to apply for GATE exam, its for admission in IITs / IISc for mtech course.Although there are many other colleges accept GATE score for their admission. If you are planning for studying abroad, then you have to apply for GRE exam. For getting a good university , a good GRE score is necessary, but you will also have to get recommendation letters, research projects certificates etc. These will help you in getting scholarship also. You can look out for various scholarships in HT Horizons or Education times. They mention all the details regarding last dates, eligibility criteria etc. |

Re: Scope after B.Tech in mechanical engineering?
Hi friend..
Mechanical engineering is a frontier branch of engineering discipline which involves the application of principles and laws of Physics to analyze, design, manufacture and maintain the mechanical systems.A mechanical engineer understands the key concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics and energy. After your B.tech, you have both the options-either opting for a job or for higher studies. First I am telling you about the job prospects. Mechanical engineers are needed in various public and private sector companies including:- 1.Automobiles. 2.Chemical. 3.Electronics. 4.Steel plants. 5.Oil refining. 6.Space research organizations. 7.Railway. 8.Communication centres, etc. There are many options for your higher studies. Some of them include:- 1.M.E. 2.M.Tech. 3.MBA. 4.MCA,etc. So,it depends on you whether you want to join job now or you first want to do your post graduation and after that, opt for a job. However,as per my advice, you should first go for post graduation so that your future prospects could increase and you can get more salary. Best of luck. Thanks,. With Regards- Vikas. |

I have met many engineering students and we have discussed about many engineering issues and disciplines. One question which almost every engineer asks is this: "which is the best carrier option for engineers? Which institute will help us learn more about our engineering field?". This question is asked by almost all engineering students no matter which branch of engineering they are in. Mechanical engineers, civil engineers, and all other engineers have this question in mind. So here I am going to tell you the best training institute for engineers and how it can help you all. Seabird Engineering Services in relatively a new concern in india which is globally popular Seabird engineering helps you in many ways. This is the only one engineering institute in India which teaches all about oil and gas field and the course fees is very cheaper My best suggestion in to take part in this courses and make you carrier bright. |
