Re: Scope of M.Tech. in VLSI specialization?
VSLI is definitely an emerging field. M Tech VLSI will bring to you opportunities of working with biggies like Intel, IBM, Motorola, Siemens and the like. But for this to happen, you will have to make smart moves - go for the best colleges in this field like Veda IIT (Hyderabad), M S Ramaiah College (Bangalore) or BITS Pilani (Pilani) and show immense patience and perseverence.

Re: Scope of M.Tech. in VLSI specialization?
VLSI has lots of applications in now a days consumer electonics field. As devices and gadgets are getting smaller and smaller VLSI is assuming increasing significance. VLSI and communication engineering are two PG areas where you have excellent career opportunities. You can find jobs in research firms like DRDO or consumer electronics firms like Philips, videocon and so on. VLSI chips are now a days used in all consumer electronics applications.

Re: Scope of M.Tech. in VLSI specialization?
hello dear
the most demanding MTECH specialization is VLSI. the demand of the subject is very good as company are taking VLSI holder candidate easily. actually the function of VLSI is mainly chip related works & now a days every things fully depends on it. so job opportunites are very good for this specialization. all the best...... |

i have completed my M.Tech inVLSI in 2008. I am hunting for job in this since then.. but still couldnt get into it. So i joined a company which is not related to vlsi. Now i have 2.6 yrs exp. in it. eventhough i am not interested in this present comp., but i have to work atleast for my financial situation, I am still trying hard to get into VLSI, but i get rejected as i have the exp. in other than VLSI. Plz suggest. Do u still hope a job in VLSI. I am hopeless !!!

Re: Scope of M.Tech. in VLSI specialization?
Dear friend,
Yes VLSI is a very good sector for higher studies in chip designing.. After your graduation you can go for M.Tech in VLSI.. I can't say that there are good opportunities in India, but can say that in abroad it has certainly a large market.. So if you have interest you can go with it...as it is really an interesting career path.. Best of luck! |
