Its not clear which selection process you are talking about. If you are talking about selection process for a job with government of India then first there is a entrance test and on successfully clearing the exam shortlisted candidates are called for group discussion on certain topics which are generally to test the IQ level, logical reasoning, presence of mind and general knowledge. After this selected candidates are called for personal interview.
