Is software knowledge important for a ece student who is likely to joinn a core company????

Software knowledge is very important for an ECE student, if the student is joining a software company or a company which is trying to develop a software application like mobile games. For any other company where you will not be dealing with software applications, even if you dont know programming languages, it will not be a big problem.

hello...software knowledge will definately add to your skill but the fact will remain that as far as ece students are concerned, their core companies will place them in departments related to communication systems, radar, switching signals..etc. A core company of ece will not recruit from ece people for making softwares , they have people from cse department to do that job if any . the knowledge of the core departmental subjects will help you more..although software knowledge will definately add to an attractive resume

for joining a core company you don't need to have software knowledge....knowledge pertaining to your field is expected.....

Well, software knowledge is not mandatory unless you take up work with a software
company. In a software company you will need to put your software knowledge like
programming languages, etc. to practise in order to develop applications like antivirus, games, back-up software or other utility software, etc.

Yes definitely software knowledge is important for an ECE student. The reason is simple while developing any electronic device you need to also program it and for that you require some software knowledge.

So work hard on this aspect if you really wanna be succesful in this field

yes software knowledge is important for ece student,as a hardware is a dump machine without software to work on it now a days. but u can be precise yourself to gain knowledge for application development softwares.

hello friends,software knowledge is not much imortant for ece.but if they want join in software company then they have to know some software knowledge.. but practically if they join to in a core field then also some little idea is required.as if some one have interest in vlsi,they have to work with some software ,like matlab,xilinx,pis-pise etc.

dear frnd it is important to have good knowledge in software 4 b.tech ece students.

if u are going to join any communication companies then u have to learn software application there.

so it will be better if u have that knowledge.

companies those make mobile application softwares and mobile games they need ece stdnts with software knowledge

Yes friend....software knowledge plays vital role for ECE student in a core company if he is concerned with lab projects. He needs to create program for designing certain electronic circuits and to explain the integration of chips so on.

Yes you must have the knowledge of software skills ,it will help you to move forward in the fast growing life.

if some body strickly decide that he/she will not go in software field .then software knowledge are not essential for ECE student.

perhaps they have to learn MATLAB,PSPICE, and many circuit making languages.

but basic level programming knowledge like (c or c++) is really require.

Hey friend,
there is no such issue about having good programming and computer knowledge for ECE students,but if you have there will be many advantages for you like,there will be more options for you than others who don't have this knowledge.

ECE students are generally expected to have knowledge of C and C++,and you have to spent 3 or 4 months to get ample knowledge of these languages.

So,just for better options for you you can try these courses even after completion of degree.

No software knowledge is not needed for an ece students if they want to join core company.its because they will place the students in the communication,switching systems,signaling,radar.but a knowledge of software will definately add to your skills.and in future if you want to switch your job to software it will help you.

but in core companies there is no need to know all these thing.. you just have to concentrate in your subjects..you can do some short term courses like EMBEDDED system,VLSI..

As you are a student of ECE then you can also join for some courses which are based on communication...you can apply for these type of courses in BSNL,ALL INDIA RADIO,RAILWAYS..

for joining the core company there is no needs to have the knowlede of the

software because there you need only you core subjects knowlede and

experiance.but for the software industry software knowlede is very much

neccessary.

obviously software knowledge is needed because the jobs like power plant which is plc based,railway which is also plc based,bsnl that also plc based .plc is very important software system for ece.

if you want to join a core compny...then software knowledge is not so important...you need th study MPMC or VLSI thoroughly if you want to join a core company in ECE branch...

as every one has answered here that programming knowledge is not that of a necessity if one has to go in core industry but i have a question that is it not important that when desging mobiles and other apps won't we need programming knowledge??and if ece students do need the knowledge then what type of software programming one should opt for??plz do reply..

software knowledge is very essential only in the case of software companies but whereas in core companies it is not essential. but it gives you more knowledge.

If you get a job in IT company than its very essential to have knowledge

about basic language.It also helps you a lot to getting a job.It will be good for

your profile.So you have some knowledge about programming languages.Its

very good for an ece engineer for having knowledge about programming

language.

If you dont like programming then dont worry,its not essential for an ece

engineer.

As you want to join in core company after completion of B.tech in ECE then there is no need to gain any software knowledge by doing a course separately..

To get a job in core company you must have a vast knowledge in your technical paper..
You must have a very clear concept in your technical papers..
You can go for some courses like-
1.VLSI
2.Embedded system
3.Microcontroller based training..
These courses will help you to get a job in core company..

For ECE candidates software knowledge is also required.

If your interested in core company also software knowledge is important.

To apply devices or to know there working these knowledge is required.

Even in core companies also there will be some applications of software so don't neglect that....

Among all the branches ECE is the best branch.

For ECE candidates there are job offers in both software and govt sectors.

First preference is given to ECE.

ECE is ever green branch.....

Its role remains same in future too.......
