hello i m preparing for bank po exams i want to knw that where i could get knowledge abt general awareness to be asked in the exams.as i am unable to find perfect materials for gs please suggest me some measures and give idea of some books that may help in bank po exams

For general awareness and general studies follow everyday newspaper and listen english news.And also many books avaliable in market on these topics.pick that correct one.

R.S. Agarwal is better for these purpose (verbal & nonverbal and quantitive).

For General Knowledge you can follow books like Lucents,Manorma year book.
For general awareness follow Pratiyogita Darpan,Various Dailies,listen to news.

There are number of sites where you can get help like theonlinegk.wordpress.com.
Try to practice sample papers and previous years papers.
R.S.Agarwal can be followed for the numerical and verbal&non-verbal sections.

Only continuous reading of newspapers can ensure your success in PO exams. As I have faced many banking exams, I saw competion success / review a better option to prepare for general awareness section.

Also I would like to tell that, even though the questions may not be repeated in the exams, a specific pattern is followed while selecting the questions by the authorities.

There will be definitely a few questions relating to RBI, SEBI rates.

Also there will be a couple of questions relating to cricket (recent ODI or Test match details has to be known thoroughly) or other sports and sports terms, medals tally (if any games like CWG or olympics held in that year)

There will be questions relating to days and events (like which day is flag day or when a particular event occured..like dat)

If you prepare like this i.e segregating the general awareness section, it will be easy for you to prepare and surely you will suceed. All the best for the exams.

For general knowledge and current affairs you can read daily english newspaper and some magazines like India today,Pratiyogita Darpan,Competition Sucess.
