plz tell me the best book of preparing general awareness for po prepration. this section only i am getting low

Dear friend,

The age limit for Bank clerical post is 18 to 28 years.
The age limit for PO post is 21 to 30 years.

The age criteria in clerical jobs is very similar to age limit in bank PO jobs which is mostly between 21 – 30 years of age with slight variation depending on the bank to bank. Almost every bank has similar kind of exam pattern for clerical exam. The selection pattern is mostly on the basis of written exam & interview. The bank conducts PO exam & Clerical cadre exam at basic levels. For higher grades, there are other exams also.
If anybody is interested in bank PO exam, then they can go through how to prepare for bank PO exam & bank probationary officer ( PO ) exam Syllabus
The candidates opting for bank clerk exam should make sure that they are eligible for this post i.e. they must fulfill some eligibility criteria like-
* should be an Indian
* should have at least 60 % aggregate marks in matriculation or equivalent
* should have at least 50 % aggregate marks in Higher Secondary Exam of 10 + 2 + 3 pattern
The written exam will have 4 sections in which questions will be on the basis of following fields:
1. Reasoning ability – In this reasoning capability of the candidate is asked. The questions will be of types like no. series, alphabet series, blood relations, age calculation problems etc.
2. Quantitative aptitude – In this maths of class X is asked. So applicant must thorough with all this. The topics like algebra, profit loss, percentage, time & distance, ratio & proportions etc.
3. General awareness – The outside world is equally important for you to prepare for bank exam. For this, you must go through news paper, magazines etc daily. Also you must have the knowledge of current affairs.
4. English – This subject is also equally important. Grammar is main target. The books are available easily in market. You must go through them.
The written test is of 2 – 2.5 hrs. So you must try previous year’s papers. This will help you to manage time properly & also you will get an idea of the pattern of written exam.

The best way to prepare general awareness for PO prepration is:

Go through news paper, magazines and listen Indian and BBC news channeletc daily. Also you must have the knowledge of current affairs.

Manorama Year book is also help ful.

dont worry mam.you can improve in general awareness by reading daily newspapers and there is one website name www.gktoday.in where u can find some questions related to general awareness.i think this is enough mam.all the best.

For general awareness watch news and read newspaper daily

books of csr will be helpful to you like year book of csr

For preparing general awareness as first you have to follow daily Newspaper ,Protijogita Darpan and many of genarel knowledge books when will get from anywhere.
Otherwise if you can search at any recognise coaching center then you will get all latest questions. an on otherhand you may follw R.S.Agarwal for genaral Awareness.

See supriya, I don't know any book for this but I can give you suggestion which in my opinion is better than the books. If you want to prepare for General Awareness, it is better to prepare from newspapers rather than from books. There you will get the latest news. Just read the newspaper daily and make a diary and there you note all the current affairs and whatever you feel is imperative just note down that in the dairy, and read that dairy once in a week to remind all those. Remember one thing, read the newspaper till one week before the exam because before one week of exam question paper would have been made.
The newspaper which is very famous among students for competitive exams for general awareness is THE HINDU NEWSPAPER.Even this is also read by those who appear for IAS exams.
So try this, I am sure this will help you a lot.

This is one of sections where one cannot predict the type of questions asked. You need to read a lot and well updated on the current affairs. Just referring to one book will not suffice. It is important to have knowledge about the happenings in the banking sector especially. There are various books like Manorama year book, India today magazine, books under GK publications etc which you can refer to. Having a short course with some coaching center will also help.

As to prepare for bank exam and improve your general awareness you have to read newspaper daily. Most of the questions will be asked from daily news. It is the best way to get scaled up in the GK section. Another equally important thing is to listen to the daily news on any channel of your choice, preferably in English. This will help you to improve you GK along with developing the power to grasp words quickly. You must read lots of General knowledge and awareness books. Internet is another source from where you can get information about current affairs, sports and also historical GK. There are many websites which offer quizzes and games which will also improve your knowledge in that subject.

But I suggest you to take two books which help you in general awareness section. These books are:-
-- QUANTITATIVE APPTITUDE
By R . S . AGGRRAWAL
-- ARIHANT's GENERAL KNOWLEDGE

With these two books you just read news paper daily, watch news channel daily.

ms.supriya, you can refer books of eminent authors like r.s.agarwal or go through the competition success review or the manorama, through which you can be aware of the general implications around
