A candidate from BCA background should find IT specialisation interesting. But while opting for a stream make sure that the job profile interests you. You can choose other options too like marketing, HR etc. With a specialisation in marketing you can find opportunities in the IT firms in the marketing section. Even in the HR department of these types of firms it is important the HR personnel understand the requirements of the company. It is important that the candidate select the stream where their skills lie.

Soon after the completion of BCA,many of the candidates prefer to go for MCA rather than MBA. But MBA is also a very good option to choose especially in recent scenario as every one saying that recession is coming back.

As there are only 3 specializations Finance, Marketing and HR available in that college, you have to choose any one of them. I would suggest you to choose the one which you are interested.

And one more suggestion is, as you have completed BCA you may be not be in touch with Finance related subjects and so it will be a tough task for you to go through with Finance Specialization.

As far as marketing is concerned, it will be suitable for you. Unless a candidate is having strong communication skills and convincing skills it is difficult to get on in Marketing jobs.

HR specialization is also a good choice for you. Initially HR will not be paid more and difficult to get job. But in long term this specialization offers excellent career for these candidates.

HR is going to manage the human resources in the organization. He should not be aggressive and should be able to mingle with different people of different attitudes and personalities and should be able to improve productivity for the organization by those people.

all the specialisations have their own source of pros and cons associated.it depends on your personal likings of which way you may go
firstly specialisation in hr will lead you to administrative roles within a company thus you will be responsible for hiring and training related issues.
secondly finance will laid you to management of finance and i will suggest you to take it omly if you have interest in commerce and accounts.
thirdly marketing means to sell a product.hence it will judge your manipulative power.you will advertise and market the products and services of your company.

Finance or Marketing or HR??

Normally for BCA candidates, MCA is the right option.
But one should go with his or her interest..if you are interested in MBA, then its very good. Because MBA offers good career prospects and high packages..

Since you are from BCA, so in my opinion HR is the best option for you.
Finance will be much harder for you and marketing is also good, but you have to be well aware of the criterion and present situation of the markets and need a very fluent communication skill.

So my suggestion is to go with Human Resources....
But at the same time I must also remind you that, MBA is also very costly.

And if you do not do MBA from the top B-schools of India then your degree will be of no value, thousands of students are doing jobs in small farms even after doing MBA.
So if you do MBA then do it from institutes like IIMs, FMS, XLRI.

The total fee for institutes like IIM is around 15 lacs.
The total fee for institutes like XLRI, FMS is 5 to 8 lacs.
The total fee for other institutes are 2 to 6 lacs.

So if you think that the college that you have chosen is good enough to give you placement and a secure future then go for it.

Otherwise you can do MCA...it is 3 years course and less costly than MBA and related to software field.

Since you have done BCA then my advice would be to go for MBA specialised in technology as that would be bests for you. You will be having the post graduation degree in your field which makes you specialised.
All MBA degrees are valuable these days but if you go for MBA in your field only that would makes a difference of slightly 10% from other degrees. MBA itself is a managerial degree which takes in the feild of management but if you do from your field only that will provide you jobs in your feild.

My friend both the courses are master courses of commerce and according to me each master course has its own value and prestige. In regard with MCA and MBA both have an equal demand in the public and govt sector. Its that only you who have to decide which to choose. As you must be well aware that MCA is IT oriented course giving you a top class experience and knowledge of computer programming. The demand is high for MCA in the world due to large growing network of MNCs and Computer companies.

Also MBA is a business oriented field turning you into a world class businessman and professional corporate.
The demand is ever increasing for the MBAs with high paid packages.

So decide whether you are computer oriented or business oriented and then proceed ok. Good luck.
