Hello sir, My son is studying in 10th standard from CBSE board and his date of birth is 1-2-2003. I want to know minimum age limit to appear in CBSE board exam of 10th standard?

The CBSE Board has not fixed any minimum or maximum age required for the candidate to appear in 10th standard examinations. But, the candidates who satisfy the minimum and maximum age limit as per state government rules, while taking admission in 10th standard are eligible to appear in CBSE 10th standard Board examinations. So, if your son has taken admission in 10th standard as per the state government rules of age criteria for admission in 10th standard, he is eligible to appear in CBSE 10th standard board examination.

The minimum age limit to appear in CBSE Board examination of 10th standard is 14 years. The candidates at the time of admission should satisfy the age requirements as determined by the State or Union Territory. If you have any doubts about your son’s 10th examination then, you can contact the school for more information and help. Most of the students in the age group of 14 to 16 are only appearing for the 10th examination.

1. CBSE has clearly mentioned that for any student to appear for 10th board exam, he/she must have studied upto 9th standard from any recognized board of India. In ninth standard he/she should register for board exams of 10th.

2. Your son 's date of birth is 1-2-2003 and he is eligible to appear for tenth board exams as per his date of birth if he is studying in tenth standard.

Minimum Age limit to appear in CBSE Board Exam for 10th Class:

There is a certain age criteria required for appearing in CBSE board based examination. The basic age criteria is considered as on 31st March of the year of admission sought.

Based on the date of birth, he is not eligible to appear in 10th Class CBSE Examination this year but I suggest you to join him next year. As the age limit CBSE 10th Admission is,
