Degree holders can apply for IAS via UPSC web site. It is not mandatory to study 12th or graduation in any specific subject. You can select arts or humanities group in 12th. This may be helpful to clear IAS to a certain extent. Thorough exam preparation is needed for cracking IAS. You can start exam preparations after collecting detailed exam syllabus from UPSC portal.
