hello sir,
i'm studying 2nd b.tech EEE, i'm very much concerned about my future. so can you send me gate material, previous question papers and some tips to score better rank?.

I think you are bit early to think that much about future.
It's good to think about future but this seems to be too early
because you have hardly studied 3 semesters of B.Tech.
i.e. Only 3-4 papers of your core branch.
For now you should concentrate on your academics in college
and try to get some project work after 4th semesters.
Engineering is not only about passing semesters and qualifying
entrance exams.
These days engineers are recruited for Manager posts directly
because they posses such skills.
I would recommend you to take part in college activities, project
work and academics for now.
Being an active person everywhere helps in getting good interpersonal
skills, management skills and also presents you as more matured
person and finally a good professional. This will help you getting good jobs too.
I am not against your thinking about future.
Till 5th semester live the life of engineering, do your normal studies
and emerge as very active and professional person.
This is not the right time to take tension of entrance exams.
After 5th semester you can start preparation for GATE exams because till
then more than half of your GATE syllabus would have been completed
in your engineering.

Well friend,

I am happy to see you that you are more concerned towards your future.

Your are in 2nd year right!! and you have 3 years to prepare for Gate,

First year was just common for all, just now you come to your department, i think its over your 2nd year first sem.
You have more time means you can boost your subject more, but you ain't aware with syllabus till.
Even you haven't face your core subjects till.

Tips:-
Do one thing, make a note of these EE Gate syllabus, whenever you come across each topic in your Engineering subject then do study well !!
Seriously this will really help you a lot.

you should really concentrate in your classes because it is what you learn from now on will really help you in the future in the gate exam,
also you should follow all the standard text books,
as for as questions are concerned you can get them from the gk publishers book for gate exam,
you can get the previous years questions from gateforum.com

Hi Sahithi,

GATE is an exam conducted by the groups of IIT's. If you want to pursue Masters in IIT, then you need to crack GATE exam.
My advice is that try to grasp and understand all the basics and fundas what you are studying now as you belong to 2nd year. The best thing you can prepare right now is concentrate in your studies and aim at understanding the concepts rather than going for marks.

For study material, there are many recommended books and it will provide you the previous years question solved paper also.

I would rather advice you to take up the study material of a good coaching institute like MADE EASY and also join their All India Test Series so that you have an idea on where you stand in the All India Competition..

GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.This exam is conducted by IIT's to take qualified students for Post graduation Course in Engineering or Architecture.

To appear for GATE exam,
>>You should have complete graduation degree any in Engineering course/Architecture course.
If you are in final year in any above mentioned course,then also you can appear GATE entrance exam.

The exam score card will valid for 2 years.

>>Gate application form issuing was on closed 21st Oct 2011.
>>And exam will held on 29th Jan 2012.
