B.Tech Agricultural engineering covers different aspects of agriculture & all that is related to it
It comprises designing & manufacturing of agricultural machinery , drainage , agricultural science , effective irrigation practices , dairy engineering & land resource planning to name few

Eligibility :

The syllabus of first year will almost be the same like that of any other branch In first year all the branches of Btech study a little about each branch like there may be subjects like Mechanics, electrical, electronics, C language subject. Then all the branches also study subjects like Physics, mathematics, human values, industrial sociology and physcology

Some other subjects for Agricultural industry are

Fluid Mechanics - Related to fluid kinematics and statics etc.

Farm Machinary - In this you will study about different farm machines and equipment their Principles of operation and selection of machines etc.

Basic Electronics and Instrumentation - Just basic electronics like diodes, transistors etc.

Theory of Machin - It is concerned with links, cams, chains, drives, belts etc.

Electrical Circuits & Machines - It is concerned with electrical topics like ac/dc current characteristics and machines, Electro motive force series parallel circuits various theorems like Norton theorem etc.

Soil Mechanics - simply mechanics of soil like Earth pressure, Consolidation of soils, Compaction composition of soils etc.

Farm Power- It is concerned with Fuel & air supply, conventional and non conventional farm power sources, types of tractors

Heat & Mass Transfer- It is concerned with various modes of transfer of heat from one body to another like convection , conduction and radiation and mass transfer like diffusion.

Strength of Material- concerned with stress, strain, bending beams etc.
Some of these subjects are common with electrical and electronics branch and most are related with mechanical branch like Strength of Material, Heat & Mass Transfer, Fluid Mechanics etc.

But in 3rd year you will study such subjects which are purely for agricultural engineers like
