Re: Summer Training after 2nd year of B.Tech. in Civil Engineering
Hello,
College / Industry not allow the 2nd year student for the summer training. Only 3rd & 4th year students are eligible for the summer training. When you come in 3rd year then you can apply for the summer training. For the summer training you may contact to the Training & placement Officier of your college & through your college you may contact to the personal department of any industry or company. For the CIVIL ENGINEERING summer training you may contact to the following industries: - 1. Larsen & Toubro 2. SECL 3. NTPC 4. GMR 5. SEPCO 6. DLF 7. CPWD 8. Punj Lloyd 9. Ambuja Cement 10. ACC 11. SIMPLEX etc. All the Best |

Re: Summer Training after 2nd year of B.Tech. in Civil Engineering
Anyway, being a civil engineer, I can tell you that what ever you have learnt till second year of your engineering is not sufficient to work as a design engineer. You really need to know your basics completely to work. Having said that, civil is also a kind of profession where theory doesn't make much of a difference, unless you go into structural design.

to apply for summer training to any company or to any organization first of all you have to contact with them. you have to know they will accept you as trainee or not. there are some company for which you have to directly apply and if you are selected then they will contact with you.
after contacting with them you have to issue one training letter from your institution. for training letter contact with your institution they will give you all details about it. then you have to submit this letter to the company training department. there are some company which provide specified application form. you have to apply with this specified form with your institution recommendation. if the company approve you as trainee then they will inform you. there are some company which provide training for civil engineering students like L&T, some private institution etc. for company in Orissa try to know from your training and placement sir. he will help you. best wishes. |

Re: Summer Training after 2nd year of B.Tech. in Civil Engineering
Yeah you should certainly do a training in your summer holidays for the Civil Engineering.
I am listing a few companies here who offer such industrial training to the candidates of 2nd and 3rd year. NTPC CPWD TATA Jaypee builders DLF etc. You can contact the training cell in whichever company you like to do your training. They would ask for a training letter that is issued to you by your college authorities. Once you produce that, you would be allowed to undergo a summer training of 4 or 6 weeks. All the best. Re: Summer Training after 2nd year of B.Tech. in Civil Engineering
yes ....
the best way is to strenghen your weak points.. industrial training is not the only way for engg to end up.......... you can do software course in your stream... for eq a mechanical engg can do cad/cam training from cadd center....... after he finishes he can join me at my works www.skgindia.net , so he learns about designing and realtime solutions..... |
