what is the syllabus fo afcat

In order to join Indian Air force after Polytechnic you have to qualify the AFCAT exam.The syllabus for AFCAT exam are;

1. Reasoning
2. Numerical ability
3. Verbal ability (English)
4. General Awareness, GK
5. General Aptitude

Hi,

AIF conducts AFCAT(Air Force Common Admission Test).

Date of entrance exam is 27 March 2011.

Syllabus for AFCAT is-

1-Reasoning
2- Numerical ability
3-Verbal ability
4-General awareness
5-General aptitude.

In AFCAT entrance exam these five types of question are asked.you should prepare these question for success.

There are two papers for AFCAT

1st paper is objective type having four options and total marks - 100.

Syllabus: Basic math, GK, Current affairs and some questions from history.

2nd paper is descriptive type total marks - 100.

Syllabus: English grammar, Essay on some topic and write letter to..........

SYLLABUS OF AFCAT:

The syllabus of AFCAT exam is basically is of secondary school examination .
The entrance test will be of two hours duration and will contain multiple choice questions on

• verbal ability,
• numerical ability,
• reasoning,
• general awareness and
• aptitude.

Last date for receipt of applications: 22 February 2011
Date of Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT): 27 March 2011

The model question paper is attached which only offers a broad overview and does not purport to represent either the syllabus or the pattern of questions that would appear in the Engineering Knowledge Test.

AFCAT is Air Force Common Entrance Test.

The exam will held in 27th march(Sunday) in different designated test centers.

The exam will be of 2 hours and the question pattern will be of Multiple Choice Question Type....

The syllabus of AFCAT is like other competitive exams.

The paper will consist of Reasoning, Numerical and Verbal Ability...A General awareness and Knowledge section will also be there.

For practice you can follow books of other competitive exams like LIC, MBA entrance exam, Bank PO etc.

Some question pattern are attached below....

Its a common Entrance test for Flying Branch, Technical Branch, Ground Duty officer

You need to be 60% aggregate in all your Years in graduation.(More Details See the Notification)

Syllabus Consists of Reasoning, Verbal ability, General Awareness , Numerical ability & General Aptitude. Exam will be of 2 hrs Duration with Objective questions.

For preparations:- Books you should refer

R S Agarwal quantitative aptitude, For Gk. Go for manorama, Competition success Review magazine. General Awareness Go Books for IAS.
