i am a btech final year student can you please give me tcs interview tips to crack into the exam

It was an online exam%u2026. Test Consists of 3 Sections%u2026 Psychometric Test
Test on Synonyms and Antonyms (40 questions, 20 minutes: Also Q%u2019s on Sentence Completion).

Aptitude Test (32 questions, 40 minutes: General Questions on Mathematics).

Critical Reasoning (30 Minutes: 3 Analysis Paragraphs and 12 questions Relating them).

Psychometric Test (150 Questions, 30 minutes: only if you Qualify in the above tests).

Details about How to Prepare for the above tests:

1. Verbal Ability:
This Test contains Synonyms & Antonyms%u2026Almost all of them were From GRE BARRON%u2019S 12th Edition & upward%u202630-50% of them will be repeated from previous TCS papers. Few Questions on Sentence Completion were also there..for these also refer BARRON%u2019S.
NOTE: During the Exam..you should be careful..because on the computer screen the names Synonyms & Antonyms will be placed side by side so that we may by mistake choose an antonym instead of a synonym%u2026so Be Careful..

2. Aptitude Test:

This test will consist of very general questions%u2026This is the easiest section Compared to the Other Two. Almost 70-80 Questions will be repeated from the Previous TCS Papers%u2026just learn the method from those papers..same model will be given..(This happened almost all the times). If you have time refer to any Aptitude book of your interest%u2026it may be R.S.AGARWAL or any Other%u2026%u2026

3. Critical Reasoning:
Here Starts your Problems%u202630 Minutes%u202612 questions..don%u2019t think that there is a lot of Time..these will be somewhat tougher those who has some touch with such kind..and will be Very Tough.. if you haven%u2019t seen this kind before..so,you should have some practice relating this kind of questions%u2026 3 paragraphs will be given.. 3X4.. 12 questions.. first 2 paragraphs will be some twisty questions%u2026 like our arrangements questions%u2026 routes between cities.. like that%u2026 and the last one will be on Data Interpretation%u2026

You prepare Data Interpretation again from BARRON%u2019S%u2026. but the remaining from R.S.AGARWAL-Reasoning%u2026. Or from Barron%u2019s 13th Edition

4. Psychometric Test:
This test comes up only if you qualify in the Aptitude test%u2026 This test consists of 150 questions which we should answer in 30 minutes (of course, that much time is not required) Don%u2019t think that this test has no weightage.. there is filtering in this test too%u2026 this test tests your psychology.. Remember among 150 many questions were asked again & again in a
variety of ways.. so don%u2019t get trapped%u2026 be honest while attempting this test.. choose what you%u2019re your heart says.. it will take you through the test..
This ends the Tests%u2026%u2026

INTERVIEWS:
Now if you are Alive Even after All these tests%u2026.then you have to face a Technical Interview%u2026
It may be on the same day of the Test. So be Prepared in Advance.
The Interview will be done by a Panel of 2 members%u2026. No need to worry.. They will be Very supporting & Friendly.. First they ask us to Introduce ourselves%u2026 then they%u2019ll go into your project details%u2026 don%u2019t forget to prepare project%u2026. They mainly concentrate on your project only%u2026so be confident on every aspect of your project%u2026 then you should have some basic knowledge on C language. There will be some questions like %u201Cwhat is the o/p of this code?%u201D, %u201Cwhat are the errors in the code?%u201D..like that%u2026 so be prepared for all the basic concepts.. If needed you have to write some small codes too.. at the end they will ask some general questios like %u201CWhy TCS?%u201D, %u201CWhere do you see yourself in the next five years?%u201D, %u201Cdo you have any questions?%u201D, try ask some questions%u2026 it shows your interest in the Company..

HR:
Now if Chase this one too%u2026. Then comes your Final Attack.. the HR Round%u2026 I many times heard that %u201CI failed in HR round!%u201D.. likewise anwers%u2026. But you should not fail in it.. because it involves no technical questions%u2026 it just dwell into your innerself%u2026 so, be confident and frank while facing this round%u2026They generally ask questions like %u201CTell about yourself?%u201D, %u201CWho r your role models?%u201D, %u201CWhat is your weakness?%u201D, don%u2019t say %u201CI Have no weakness!%u201D, just prepare a small weakness for yourself that causes no harm to your future%u2026O.K.. %u201CWhat is your mother tongue?%u201D

if your Academic background is good.. be prepared to face some Techies here too%u2026.

TCS generally takes the test in 3 phases.
1) Written test or Aptitute test
it mainly comprises of reasoning and mathematics. you have to solve as many as questions you can correctly within given time.

2) Group Discussion (sometimes this round does not take place)
here some of the selected candidates will be given a topic to discuss among themselves. try to the First speaker, give facts and figures in your points, do not shout but try to dominate others, try to give new and innovative ideas.

3) Interveiw
it sometimes has 3 rounds.
a)self introduction-interveiwer watches your communicating skills
b)technical round-asks questions on your topic
c)psychometry-mainly asks why you want to join TCS and not other companies etc

Hi friend,

First know for what job you are going to interview.
It may be
1) Tcs BPO
2) Tcs IT sector

For both the selection procedure is as follows:

i) aptitude round - it may consist general english, quantitative aptitude, reasoning. Study the book "quantitative aptitude - by R.S.Agarval"

2) Technical round - It may a optional one. It not conducted it will be conducted together with HR round

3) HR round - In this they mostly check your ability to learn.
If you don't know answer for any question just say " sorry sir, I don't
know ". Instead of that don't say unrelevant answer.
-> Then learn the history of TCS.
-> You have to be confident
-> Show positive body language
-> For example you should not be sitting legs crossed.
-> Like this there are lots of body languages. Learn about this with a help
of any book about body language.
-> Do well.

in TCS there are mainly two round of interview one is technical interview and another is HR interview.

for technical interview
1. try to clear basic knowledge of your subject.
2. they may ask you one favorite subject of you. so be prepare which subject you will say. try to be prepare good for that subject. because they will ask many questions from that subject.
3. try to say favorite subject related to computer like data structure or microprocessor or computer architecture or computer networking etc. don't say C as your favorite subject. because it is very much difficult to answer question from C. there are lots of difficult question. but you may say that you like the subject C.
4. do not feel very much tensed when you are interview board. when you will speak anything try to watch every person on interview board not only who asked the question to you.


for HR interview
1. first of all introduce your self is a common question. so you must be well prepared for that. don't say anything which is wrong about you. they are very intelligent they will easily understand about your wrong.
2. try to prepare for some more question like your strength, weakness, why we should hire you, what we can expect from you etc. never try to say anything which is copied from internet or any book. read them and try to prepare for own. change the language so that they think it is innovative for you.
3. make your personality strong. speak loudly so that everyone can hear you but don't be very much loud. be professional. try to answer to the point.


at last i will say in interview they test how you can learn anything easily and some previous knowledge of your subject and your attitude. never think that if you are unable to say answer of one question then they will reject you. it will create fear on your mind and you will be unable to answer other question also. if you are unable to answer one question also till they may hire if you have potential.

In tcs first round is aptitude write test then tech. interview this interview is veryeasy interviewer is very cool and friendly person they ask simple question only. See in TCS the interviewers are very cool minded. So you do not have to panic much. They do not pressurize you much. Instead they always try to know you better in that 15-20 minutes available and try to interact with you in the best possible way. So in return behave in the best friendliest manner possible.
Along with this knowing your subject is very very important. You need to know about the department you will be in. So you must know all the technical matter related of that department. If they find that your knowledge level is shallow, then they will reject you.
Last thing to concentrate upon is your English Language. Fluency in this is a must. Or else they might not select the candidate. If all these things go right, then the interview will be the best experience.
