Is there any age relaxation for ex-servicemen to attend IAS exam?


Is there any age relaxation for ex-servicemen in general category to attend IAS exam? What is the upper age limit for Defence person?

# IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services.


# Age limit prescribed for ex-service men for civil services examination:

* 21-35 years for ex-servicemen who disabled in operations during hostilities with any foreign country or in a disturbed area.

* 21-37 years for ex-servicemen who were commissioned officers and have renderd minimum five years defence service.

# Point to be noted that ex-servicemen falling under SC/ST/OBC category will also get the benefit of cumulative age relaxation.


# Permissible number of attempts for ex-servicemen are mentioned below:

* Only 06 attempts till the age of 32 years for candidate of unreserved/general category.
* Only 09 attempts till the age of 35 years for candidate of OBC category.
* Unlimited number of attempts till the age of 37 years for candidate of SC/ST category.
* Only 09 attempts till the age of 42 years for candidate of physically disabled plus unreserved/general category.

There is five years upper age relaxation for Ex Serviceman candidates in Civil Services examination.

The general age limit for this exam is 21-32 years. Ex Serviceman age limit is 21-37 years.

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services. IAS comes under Civil Services of Indian Government. The minimum academic qualification required to apply for this exam is bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized university.

The age criteria for general category candidates is 21-32 years. There is upper age relaxation of three years to OBC, five years to SC/ST and five years to Ex Serviceman candidates. For Ex Serviceman, there is five years that is 37 years.

For ex-service man candidates there is relaxation of 5 years in upper age limit for appearing in Civil Service Examination.

The examination is conducted by UPSC. The examination is conducted in three stages.

Yes, there is relaxation in upper age limit for reserved category to appear for Civil Service Examination which is conducted by UPSC.

So, candidates from general category can appear for the examination till the age for 37 years.

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services. The entrance exam for this service is Civil Services examination. The age criteria for this exam is 21-32 years.

In case of Ex Serviceman, there is five years of upper age relaxation. It is 37 years for Ex Serviceman.

*General candidates: 21-32 years,

* OBC candidate; 21-35 years.

*SC/ST candidate: 21-37 years.

*Ex Serviceman candidates: 21-37 years. There is five years upper age relaxation.

I.A.S is Indian Administrative Service. For recruitment candidates have to appear and qualify in Civil Service examination which is conducted by UPSC every year.

The eligibility to appear for examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university. The age limit is 21- 32 years with relaxation of 5 years in upper age limit for ex- serviceman.

IAS refers to Indian Administrative Service and to appear in the IAS examination officially known as the civil services examination the age limit for general category candidates is 21 years to 32 years. Further there is provision of age relaxation in upper age limit for ex serviceman candidates of 5 years in addition to the relaxation they they get due to their category based on caste.

Yes, there is age relaxation for Ex-servicemen to attend IAS Examination.

Age relaxation for ex-servicemen in UPSC are 5 years including Commissioned officers and ECOs/SSCOs who have rendered at least 5 years Military service as on August 01, 2019

There is five years upper age relaxation for candidates belonging to Ex Serviceman category in Civil Services exam for Indian Administrative Services.

Apart from this relaxation, there is no other relaxation given to candidates of this category.

Yes ex-service man of general category have relaxation of 5 years in upper age limit to appear for Civil Service Examination.

So, ex-service man can appear for the examination till the age of 37 years belonging to general category.

The examination is conducted in three stages and candidates have to qualify in all stages for final selection.

Age relaxation of 5 years is provided to Ex-Servicemen in General category who is appearing for IAS Exam.

Hence, ex-servicemen can appear for IAS Exam upto upper age limit of 37 years.

For other categories, upper age limit is as follows.
  • Upper Age Limit:
  • General: 32 years
  • OBC: 35 years
  • SC/ST: 37 years
  • Physically disabled: 42 years

Hello,
Yes there are certain age relaxations in the UPSC examination.
For a general candidate the age Gap is 21-32.
For an obc candidate,it is till the age of 35.
For sc-st -37
And similar is the case for ex service men that's 37 years with a 5 year age relaxation.
