sir,i am doing engineering having branch IT.is there any oppurtunity to take job in government sector through IT?

hello dear

as you are belong to it engineering.so you have very little opportunity in govt sectors.it engineer can join

1.defence sector.
2.banking sector(specially for ebanking).
3.jto.

but i think for it student private sectors are best......

Yes, there are lots of opportunities in government sector for IT students.
But you have to work very hard for clearing their exams.
You can prepare for and apply for-----
• DRDO
• ISRO
• Civil Services (IAS,IPS,IFS,IES)
• Exam conducted by SSC
• Indian Army,Navy ,Air Force
• PSUs( NTPC,BHEL,SAIL,GAIL,IOCL,ONGC,BPCL,HPCL etc)
• Central and state government services

Don't bother, definitely, there are many Govt jobs for IT engineering students.

The govt recruit many software engineers for public job section each year.

It will be better for you if you apply for IES exam intended for govt engineering services, conducted by UPSC every year.

The notifications of this exam is brought out in daily newspapers or the employeement news or in Rozgar Samachar.

So keep your eye on daily newspapers and visit the official site of UPSC for getting up-to -date facts about the exam.

Yes, Obviously there is. You Can take the Indian Engineering Service(IES) Exam conducted by Union public service commission to get commissioned throughout India. Or if you want to be with your native, Do the PSC exam of that state to get placed in the same state. There are even other government engineering entries to IT. Do keep watching the Employment news for the same.

You can go for only selected areas such as,
for JTO,Defence jobs(conducted by UPSC),several Bank Posts that's all.

the best govt. job that i can suggest you is in defence services.
you have to write CDSE exam conducted twice a year,and you can chose IT or radio telecom department in defense.that will be most exciting and challanging job.

Or if you want an easy to go govt. job then you can go for UPSC exams and write IES exam.

for it engg there have fiew scope compare to the core engg(like electrical,mechanical,civil etc).

but it engg can do work in

1.banking sector.
2.telecom sector.
3.rail.
4.ies
& some other govt sectors....

Ofcourse yes, there are different avenues, where IT engineers can find jobs in government sector. BSNL, Railways, DRDO, VSSC etc are government controlled agencies where IT engineers are recruited. Ofcourse more jobs will be available in the private sector

Yes definately, IT engineering students can appear the manny governement exam like
Bank exams, IPS, IAS, IES, LIC exams, and manny other recruitment exams conducted
by UPSC and other exams conducted by Central and state government.

So, dont worry, just appear in this exams if you have clear this exams, then you will
get jobs in goverment sector with good salary pacakage. So please work hard and
appear the various government entrance exams. All the notification will come on the employment newspaper.............
