Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited(BSNL) conducts Junior Telecom Officer Written Exam for recruitment of JTO Officers.The Vacancies of JTO is divided into three sections.These are :

1. JTO Telecom.
2. JTO Electric.
3. JTO Civil.

Eligibility details

Educational qualification For Telecom:

• Candidates should have a Bachelor of Technology/Bachelor of Engineering degree in relevant stream from recognized university.

List of Relevant degrees are :

1. Electronics.
2. Telecommunication.
3. Electrical.
4. Radio.
5. Instrumentation.
6. Information Technology.
7. Computer Science.

Educational qualification for Electric :

• Candidates should have a Bachelor of Technology/Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical stream from recognized university/Institutes.

Educational qualification for Electric :

• Candidates should have a Bachelor of Technology/Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil stream from recognized university/Institutes.

Marks required

1. General/OBC category candidates should have a minimum of 50% marks.
2. SC/ST category candidates should have a minimum of 45% marks.

Age Required

1. Minimum age required to apply for this exam 21 years.
2. maximum age allowed to apply for this exam is 28 years.

Exam Pattern for BSNL JTO

• Total duration of this exam will be 03 hours.
• Questions will be divided into 3 sections.
• Total number of questions will be 150.
• Total marks will be 300.
• For each wrong answer 0.50 will be deduced.

Exam Syllabus for BSNL JTO

Section I - Engineering Stream

• Network Theory.
• Material and Components.
• Electronic devices and Physical Electronics.
• Electromagnetic Theory.
• Power Electronics.
• Electronic Measurement and Instrumentation.

Section II - Engineering Stream

• Control System.
• Digital Electronic Circuits.
• Analog Electronic Circuits.
• Microwave Engineering.
• Microprocessors.
• Communication System.
• Computer Engineering.

Section III - General Ability Test

• English Grammar.
• General Knowledge related to Telecommunication.
• Geography and History of India.

Yes there will be negative marking in BSNL JTO examination. There will be 1/3 negative mark for every wrong answer. So you must be careful while attempting the answers.

The examination is of 3 hours duration and the papers will be fifferent all the three JTOs i.e Civil , Electrical and Telecom.

Section-I : Engineering stream :50 questions
Section-II : Engineering stream :50 questions
Section-III: General Ability Test : 20 questions

For JTOs (Civil)

Section-I: Civil Engineering stream :50 questions
Section-II: Civil Engineering stream :50 questions
Section-III: General Ability Test :20 questions

For JTOs(Electrical)

Section-I : Electrical Engineering stream : 50 questions
Section-II : Electrical Engineering stream: 50 questions
Section-III : General Awareness : 20 questions

You must have a Engineering Graduation Degree in any of the following discipline to become eligible for BSNL JTO examination:
