SC stands for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe. These are socially and economically challenged community and hence for their upliftment there is provision of reservation for these category in government sector jobs.

According to the constitution of India, 15% seats are reserved for SC category and 7.5% seats are reserved for ST category in government sector jobs and government aided educational institutes.

These community do enjoy the facility of age relaxation and marks relaxation in different examination which varies with different examinations.
