I AM B.PHARM FINAL YEAR STUDENT i want to know whether there will be gate 2010 held on february 14th,if not when will the exam be held?

GATE pharmacy will be place by CET.that is common entrance test (CET).

It will be taken by AICTE.
though the exact rules aren't created yet. it will be soon done.
but GATE is there is Final.

the gate exam for pharmacy this year has been cancelled.there will be another gate like exam for it.the details are not yet announced

There is no gate exam for pharmacy but the respective colleges will conduct their own cet exams as the entrance exam.

yes there is GATE exam for pharmacy you can confirm this from www.rtiindia.org.so apply for it as soon as possible.

A separate exam is going to conducted for the B. Pharm student in the name of GPAT. pharmacy student may also appear in gate 2010 by taking life science or chemistry section which will held on 14 feb. GPAT will be on 2th of may.

Date of GAPT 2010 Examination----- 2nd May 2010

Persons holding Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2) or appearing in the Final year examination of B. Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2) in the year 2010 only are eligible for appearing for GPAT-2010 examination.

You all must be aware with the fact that IIT`s have announced to discontinue GATE for subject code PY (Pharmacy) next year. There will not be GATE 2010 for Pharmacy.

well dear gate exam is going to be there but i am afraid that it is not for pharmacy from this year but you can have its alternative which is GPAT all the best

NO THERE IS NO GATE 2010 for pharmacy students it is replaced with GPAT exam that is similar i syllabus and difference is that gpat score is valid for 1 year

a pharmacy student was informed by the IITs that they would stop conducting GATE for pharmacy students after 2009, after an application was filed by him under the Right to Information (RTI) Act.

From the year 2010 , pharmacy exam is not conduted with GATE examination for the admisison in MPharma. It is seperated and named as GPAT: Graduate pharmacy aptitude test.
In eligibility criterian , percentage is not mentioned . Only Persons holding Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2) OR Persons appearing in the Final year examination of B. Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2) are eligible.

no, GATE is replaced with GPAT for pharmacy students and the exam will be conducted in in may 1st week.
