The AMIE is not a degree course like B.Tech, instead it is just a certification course in which there are two sections and the minimum time to pass both the sections is 4 years. but in industries AMIE is given more prefrence then B.Tech. but after doing AMIE you cannot apply for teaching field that is you cannot apply in universities and colleges for lectureship. but after B.Tech your teaching field is also open for you. if you only interested in industry then go for AMIE. if you want to keep you teachinf fiel open then go for B.Tech. So, i would personally suggest you to go for B.Tech rather than AMIE because after B.Tech you have much better chances of getting a good job with a decent package in the campus placement itself whereas AMIE is concerned, that might not be the case. Rest is all up to you to decide! thankyou...! |

Re: Is there more scope in B.Tech or AMIE?
Hi, I have done B.sc (H) in electronics in 2010 and now I am working as a professional engineer in industry and I also wants to study further.
How can I get myself into B.E. or B.tech, Is there any college? What is good for me AMIE or B.Tech? Or what else I can choose for further studies. |

Re: Is there more scope in B.Tech or AMIE?
AMIE much more better course and a tougher one when compared to B.TECH and you will gain more knowledge than B.TECH because the pattern and syllabus is same all over india. in my polytechnic college my lecturers are AMIE only. still AMIE having more value than B.E or B.TECH because the syllabus or the pattern is more tougher. more over AMIE is recognised all over the world.

Dear friends,
I am Rakesh, I have completed Diploma in Computer science and Engg. Now I am working in Wipro. I want to do graduation from AMIE. Is this a right option ? Does it have a good future ? Can I pursue MBA after that ? Please explain me briefly about AMIE and tell me what are its advantages after completion. Appreciate your replies. Thank You. |

Re: Is there more scope in B.Tech or AMIE?
Hi Student...
The AMIE is not a degree course like B.Tech, as an alternative it is just a certification course by which you can find two parts and the minimum time to pass both the parts is 4 years. however in industries AMIE is provided more prefrence then B.Tech. but after performing AMIE you cannot apply for teaching subject that is you cannot apply in universities and schools for lectureship. but after B.Tech your teaching subject is also open for you. if you merely interested in market then select AMIE. if you want to keep you teachinf feel, field, file, phial open then select B.Tech. Therefore, i would personally recommend you to select B.Tech as opposed to AMIE since after B.Tech you have much better odds of getting a great work with a significant package in the college position it self although AMIE is concerned, that may maybe not be the case. Rest is all up to you to determine! Best wishes |

If you want to do AMIE u should have to do Section A (non Diploma- 10 papers) and Section B all papers.. it will take 4 yer to complete so it is not a good choice.. instead of AMIE you can do M.tech in EC... |

Re: Is there more scope in B.Tech or AMIE?
AMIE is really good compared to B.TECH or B.E.. yes there will be some ups and downs but it is valued in all the industry sectors, if there is no value then how can it stand for 22 years of service. It is upto us to complete the course and get the oppurtunity, if every thing is assured and easy to do then No one can be self made...
Its the time for us to think and take the decision, if this is not working then something will be kept open for us ... Be Confident ! and positive.. And Guys if there is something which you feel that it is not the best course, request you to put your point in a positive manner which will show others truth about your point... Good Luck !! :) |
