A. Prepare all objective type question of below mentioned syllabus: -

1. Control System
2. Power System
3. Electrical Machines
4. Power Electronics
5. Electrical Measurement & Measuring Instruments

B. Practice more & more questions.

C. Arrange study material from coaching institute.

D. Prepare test series.

Every year NTPC conducts an examination to recruit brilliant engineers and professionals for its technical and HR posts. The NTPC Executive Trainee Test is to recruit engineers.

TIPS TO PREPARE FOR NTPC EXAM

-> Know the pattern of the exam

-> Know the syllabus followed for the exam

-> Refer previous year model question papers to study the flow of questions which saves time in the exam

A briefing of these tips are as follows....

NTPC EXAM PATTERN

NTPC written test consists of 2 papers viz Aptitude and Technical. Technical test consists of 120 questions and Aptitude test consists of 50 questions. Thus a total of 170 multiple-choice questions are asked to complete in 2 hours. There is negative marking so you have to cautious which you answer difficult questions. 1/4th mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Type of questions asked in Aptitude test are: Synonyms, Antonyms, Comprehension passages, Word analogies, Fill in the sentences etc.

Type of questions asked in Technical test are: Question will be asked on Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Control & Instrumentation, HR & Finance disciplines.

To prepare for NTPC exam follow the points given below..

-> KNOW THE PATTERN :Its very important to know the pattern of the exam and then prepare for the questions accordingly, I have attached some of the previous year papers of NTPC in this post, just go through the papers and try to find out the pattern.

-> PREPARE WITH SYLLABUS : I have attached NTPC tentative syllabus in this post.. just go through the syllabus and prepare for the topics which is given in the syllabus.

-> SPEND TIME FOR PREPARATION : Spend some valuable time for preparation daily by referring some good books which are available in the market.
